Can You Make Someone Fall in Love With You?

This question might seem to have a simple yes or no answer. But in fact, it is a pretty deep question. We'll just scratch the surface of it here. The short answer is -- both yes and no.

How is it "no"? Well, everyone will tell you that you can't make someone love you -- it comes from inside. And that's true most of the time. There are a few hypnosis experts who can convince someone to feel as if they're in love, but I don't call that real love.

But what about the "yes" answer? Ah, this is where it gets interesting! You can do things that make it far more likely for someone to fall in love with you. I'm not talking about the stuff you can read in some ebooks for sale -- about saying certain words and acting all puffed up or else playing hard to get, all to manipulate someone to get in bed with you. I hope you'll agree that's not real love either.

What I'm talking about is being your best self. If you could remove your self-consciousness, nervousness, etc., and if you could start living life confidently and go for your dreams, how would you appear to someone else? Think of people you have seen living like that -- how do they come across to you? Like someone you'd like to be around, right? We all like to be around that type of person, don't we?

That is exactly the point. The best way to attract the lover of your dreams is to be the kind of person they would naturally be attracted to! And I don't mean putting on an act, trying to be whoever they want you to be. Not at all! To attract the friends and lovers of your dreams, all you need to do -- and it's absolutely honest -- is to become the "yourself" of your dreams! Become the person you always wished you were. You can do it little by little or all at once -- that doesn't matter. Well, okay, slower might take longer. So go faster if you're in a hurry.

One caveat -- be sure you're being realistic. Don't try to be something you have no ability to be. Be yourself, doing and learning what you can do and learn. If you always wanted to do extreme sports and you have the ability, then go for it. If you want to be in a band or start a band and you have musical talent, then do that. Do it in a smart way, of course. Make sure you don't have money problems. And if you dream of traveling around the world, then save up or work your way from country to country. Or maybe stay home and start your business or write your book or work for the Sierra Club. It's your dream!

Whatever you choose, after a while you'll probably find yourself so poised and sure of yourself, and so fulfilled with your life, that people will naturally be attracted to you. Many of them will be the sort of people you could like, and one or more of them will be potential lovers. And it all happens while you're being true to yourself, perhaps more so than you've ever done before.

Can you make one particular person fall in love with you? Well, if you haven't started living your dreams yet, it just might happen after you start. He or she might begin to see you as even more amazing than before, and that might tip the balance for that person. But then again, someone else might get interested in you and come after you first! Then what will you do? It's up to you how far you go and what you do with your opportunities.

Jealously. . . it feeds on your insecurity, devours your self-confidence, and gobbles up the trust in your relationship.

Jealousy has been defined as an emotion experienced by one who perceives that another person is giving something that she or he wants (typically attention, love, or affection) to a third party.

Jealousy is an emotion resulting from the resentfully suspicious nature of man. It is a universal emotional trauma caused by things as well as people. Jealousy is a reaction to a perceived threat - real or imagined - to a valued relationship or to its quality. Jealousy has a mind of its own and it is strong enough to make us believe and see things that are not even there or that have not happened yet.

Jealousy is a "complex reaction" because it involves such a wide range of emotions, thoughts and behaviors.

Believe it or not, like other difficult emotional experiences, jealousy can be a trigger for growth, increased self-awareness, and greater understanding of both your partner and your relationship.

While some couples seem to feed off of inciting a playful type of jealousy, many other relationships are laid to waste by uncontrollable and irrational fits of jealous rage.

In small, manageable doses, jealousy can be a positive force in a relationship. Jealousy heightens emotions, making love feel stronger and sex more passionate. But when jealousy is intense or irrational, the story is very different.

Jealousy is almost always a demonstration of our own insecurities and low self-esteem. Unless an unfaithful partner has broken trust, about 90% of jealousy comes from from personal insecurity. When you are feeling unloved, be careful not to focus on your partner when the feelings are really inside you. Jealousy provides an opportunity to come to a fundamental understanding of yourself. You may be being driven by your fears.

Insecurities bring forth jealousy, which, in effect, is a cry for more love. It is within our rights to ask for more affection when self-doubts surface, however, the indirect way that jealousy asks for it is counterproductive. Excessive possessiveness is inappropriate. Jealousy is the surest way to drive away the very person we may fear losing.

One of the biggest mistakes you can make is to try and hide it. Jealousy is usually a signal of something needing fixing, and ignoring that usually only makes things worse.

To keep yourself on the right track of jealousy conquering, just remember these steps:

Acknowledge your jealousy. Ask yourself where it is coming from and why it makes you feel jealous. I suggest asking yourself, "What do I feel insecure about? Do I feel unattractive or uninteresting myself? Do I doubt the other persons love for me? Their physical attraction? Do I doubt that I can have the type of relationship I want?"

Make self-health and lifestyle changes that will assist you in fighting it off. Combine jealousy with a more rational emotion. Have patience and practice!

As long as you keep those steps in mind and follow them, you will learn how to take control of your jealousy instead of it controlling you.

Emma Goldman once said, "All lovers do well to leave the doors of their love wide open. When love can go and come without fear of meeting a watch-dog, jealousy will rarely take root because it will soon learn that where there are no locks and keys, there is no place for suspicion and distrust, two elements upon which jealousy thrives and prospers."

The Way Your Woman to Fall in Love Again

Always tell her that you love her.

Don't assume that she knows it already. A woman needs constant affirmation in order to be secure. Always verbalize your love and admiration for her. Let her know you miss her.

Let her know that you care for her by telling her always. She can never hear it too often. Tell her about three times a day, just like your daily meals. That's her emotional food and only you can feed her with that.

At times, you can send her a text message at work or wherever she is during the day. Don't be surprised that she wouldn't delete your texts until her phone's capacity is filled up. Women store important messages like that, and will read them again and again.

Remember a woman's memory is longer than a man's own. This should also give you a note of caution and not send nasty texts to her. She won't delete them either. So, be careful of what you send to her when you quarrel, disagree or are angry.

Take her out.
Find an interesting place to take her to every now and then. Your woman will love you the more for it. For some reason, a woman attaches much importance to being taken out on a date or a visit. She even loves and appreciates it the more when you make a sacrifice on your schedule in order to go out with her.

This might mean skipping the next soccer match in order to take her out. But you would really be touching her heart with this gesture and she will love you the more for it.

I Was Wrong and I Am Sorry

As a professional relationship coach, over the years I have listened as partners pour out their hearts to me, justifying their position to the detriment of the relationship.

There are as many relationship issues as there are people, however if I were going to make a list of the most frequent issues I would say that money, in-laws, sex, control issues, unfulfilled expectations and a lack of effective communication top the list.

It is one thing to know there is a problem and it is quite another to not do anything about it. You must first acknowledge that a problem exists before it can be fixed. Part of the healing is to acknowledge that there are indeed problems that you may be responsible for. Knowing that is not enough. DOING something different is!

Relationship derailment is a troubling phenomenon. However, it's time for the death of finger pointing. Blame in a love relationship doesn't work!

There is a payoff for everything you do. The payoff for pointing a finger at your partner and blaming him or her for your relationship condition is: you don't have to take responsibility for your share of the problem.

Although blaming has no redeeming value, if you must place blame, you would be wise to accept responsibility and know that the blame goes to the person looking back at you in the mirror.

Relationship problems are shared problems. To manage the complexity of a stormy relationship you must accept responsibility for your share of the problem. When you can do that, the problem is half solved. Not only will this change you, it will change your relationship with your partner.

It is time to STOP blaming someone else for the misery you are creating for yourself. It's time to forgive yourself and your partner so the hurt will heal. The hurts won't heal until you allow yourself to forgive.

Perhaps your relationship deserves a powerful new focus. The responsibility of both partners is to acknowledge that there is a problem, talk about it in the most loving way you can and reach a conclusion with a workable solution that will benefit both of you.

Ideally, having a partner who understands the concept of team and the responsibility that goes with it contributes greatly to creating a greater attitude of team, which sheds light on solutions instead of keeping the focus on the problem.

True love allows for disagreements. Problems are not there to break you. They help make you a better partner; they help you grow. Acknowledging when you are wrong is not a sign of weakness; it is a sign of strength.

If your relationship is off track, the cost of complacency is obviously substantial. Waiting for your partner to "come around," may prove futile. Go first. You must take the first step while you are still afraid. Doing so helps to inoculate your relationship against a relapse.

Your relationship priorities are clear now, right? Go first. Say it.

"I was wrong and I am sorry."

It probably doesn't need to be said, however I will say it anyway. Saying "I'm sorry" over and over for the same mistake doesn't work! Not making the same mistake again does. It demonstrates your sincerity and respect for your partner and makes a significant contribution to your relationship.

Do what's right!

Those seven words will help make your perceptions clearer, your judgments sounder, your relationship and your life work better and you will be closer to your heart's desire; a healthy love relationship and marriage.

And don't forget to maintain the person you were before! A lot of people gain a lot of weight during a breakup depression, make sure you keep in shape! Remember, you want to look GOOD to your ex. Irresistibly good, undeniably good, absolutely magnetically good. A beer gut or Ben & Jerry's thighs aren't going to make your ex come running back slobbering for some lovin'.

Once you've made yourself as irresistible as possible, you'll start to realize that even if you don't get your ex, you'll start drawing the attention of other members of the opposite sex as well. This'll boost your self-confidence and make you look even better to your ex. Seeing how well you're getting along IS a lot more likely to bring him or her come running back for some lovin'.

And even if somehow you don't make your ex swoon with newfound passion for your flawlessness, getting out there and feeling good will do you a lot of good. More likely than not, you'll realize that as much as you love your ex, it's not the end of the world that you're not together anymore. There are about as many definitions of soul mate as you can imagine. We've been trying to define this term for literally thousands of years to no avail. I will try to cut through the confusion by offering mine.

A soul mate is a person with whom you feel a deep connection that may even defy logic. For example, a soul mate can be a close friend who lives a very different life than yours, yet you pick up the old thread instantly no matter how much time has passed since your last connection. A soul mate can be a friend, lover, family member, or mentor.

In love relationships, the term soul mate includes a sexual connection, often infused with intensity. Many people describe their soul mate as the person who got away and can never be replaced. This idea of only one soul mate (lover) who perfectly matches can be problematic. The reality is that you can connect deeply with many people. With an open viewpoint about love and soul mates, your heart is available to move on and find someone new with whom you can have a very meaningful connection. It will not be like the last one because every relationship is unique, like a fingerprint.

The paradox is that sometimes these very deep and intense soul mate connections are not emotionally healthy because they are not grounded in real life. Couples often describe themselves as soul mates while in the throes of the enchantment stage of love. Those same couples often blast apart later when they re-enter life and discover that they cannot permanently meet each other's every need. Disappointment and hurt follow, and the relationship becomes unstable. The art of seduction is a topic which has been studied since ancient times, the attraction between man and woman (etc.!) seems to drive people regardless of their intellectual state. Societies and even empires have been ruled by "desire" a clear example was Babylon which as we all know was famous for their, shall we say "sexy parties".

If we think hard about it, man is driven by emotions and those strong emotions trigger certain physical responses. If we think in terms of basic instincts, we, as human beings only differ from animals by our cognitive ability everything else is ruled by our primitive brain, that is why in the game of "seduction" our basic instincts kick in. Instincts are simply "hard-coded programs" in our brain which serve important functions such as: survival, reproduction, etc. Since they are already in our brain we do not need to learn them, a good example of basic instincts can be seen in normal animal behavior and fixed action patterns.

Reproduction is undoubtedly one of our instincts but as we have seen, even in the animal kingdom, the right to procreate or reproduce has to be earned through as series of physical dances or rituals in order to attract a partner, so the fact that we "can reproduce" doesn't always mean that "we will have a guaranteed partner to do it with".

The whole seduction ritual, in terms of humans, starts by invisible chemical reactions through pheromones which trigger our body to release other chemicals throughout our body which makes us feel "fuzzy" and attracted to another person. In humans there is also a second set of stimuli transmitted to the opposite sex, it could be visual, or auditory Knowing how attraction works will allows us to gain a better understanding to the way "seduction works".

A small percent of humans have fully mastered the art of seduction and have become extremely successful not only in relationships but in business as well; that is why seduction doesn't only involve a set of skills it can change someone's life entirely. We have established that people act on emotions and that is precisely why businesses rely on this basic method to advertise and market their products to people. Think about it, would you buy a car because of the "brand"? or because you know that if you have a car in particular you will more likely to "impress" someone of the opposite sex, thus earning you better odds to "get lucky"

An important factor which needs to be realized in order to learn the art of seduction is that people are driven by emotions and the "emotions" triggered when someone is attracted or aroused by another person are extremely strong; they can make us spend 80K on a car or simply say "Yes!" to important business decisions.

Having a successful relationship is like driving a car at night. You can only see as far as your headlights shine up ahead, AND you can make the entire trip that way. Sometimes you may feel that if you don't do what your partner wants you to do, he/she will be upset and become even more distant. This is where agreements are important. Agree to allow each other to make your own choices, first for yourself and then for the relationship. Remember, women usually respond most to a man's action or lack of action. Men generally respond most to a woman's attitude. So. . . now you know what you need to work on. Men - Action. Women - Attitude.

Stay on track. Do what's right. Do unto your partner what you would have them do unto you. Indulge in honoring your combined efforts. Buy your partnership a trophy from a trophy shop. Have it engraved. Present it to each other in your very own private ceremony where you renew your promise to each other to continue to work together.

Let go of having to "be right!" Healthy, full functioning couples find happiness is sharing their differences instead of being indifferent to them. They discover happiness in discussing, in a loving way, areas of mutual concern. It's true! Men and women are truly different, AND there are similarities.

Healthy couples identify problems, talk openly and honestly about their differences and choose workable solutions. Integrate your mutual intentions for a healthy, happy relationship or the relationship will evaporate.

Give each other room to grow. No one can grow in the shade. If you are always hovering over your partner, you are literally smothering the love that could be yours. Partners need time alone. They need space. Give it willingly. Take time to be alone with your thoughts. This is another way to attend to your needs.

Even though it may appear that you are from different planets because you share so little in your communication, it is possible for you to lay down your ray guns, seek peace and choose to travel in the same orbit, working together to celebrate your differences in ways that mutually benefit the relationship. Between Love and Lying

At one of our workshops , the women in the group all agreed that they grew up with the expectation that they would be "nice" and make everyone in the family feel good. They were not taught to speak their truth but rather hide what they were thinking in order to keep the peace.

Most people believe they are being loving when they withhold perceived unpleasant information from their partner, spouse or friends.

So the questions is--do you tell that other person how you feel in all situations? If you don't, is that being loving or is that lying to the other person?

Bell Hooks, in her book "All About Love," would say that it's lying. She says, "Lying has become so much the accepted norm that people lie even when it would be simpler to tell the truth." She goes on to say that "In today's world we are taught to fear the truth, to believe it always hurts."

We have found that when you tell the truth, it may hurt. But when you are completely open and honest, it is ultimately freeing for both people, giving you the opportunity to deepen your connection.

Some of you may question this--but we feel that if you are in a spiritual partnership with the intention of growing together, there simply is no other way. Bell Hooks says that "it is impossible to nurture one's own or another's spiritual growth when the core of one's being and identity is shrouded in secrecy and lies."

The lies don't even have to be that big to drive a wedge in a relationship. Just not being forthcoming with your feelings is living with a lie and will ultimately create a separation.

David Viscott said-- "If we were to live honestly, our lives would heal themselves." Hard as this seems, we believe it's the only way to live. We've done it the other way and now we're trying to do it differently. Our experience tells us that when you communicate constantly openly and honesty, that's what builds safety and trust. That's what creates the real juice in any great relationship!

Once you really get the courage to say sorry, use it. Because sometimes we hardly say sorry to our partners while breaking ups and fights, in spite of the fact that actually we are ourselves responsible for the faults. Though it is not a tough ordeal to say I am so sorry.

Very few people actually have the courage to say sorry. Actually, its not about the sense of etiquette and manners but one really needs to be courageous to say sorry. And when it comes to the love relationships, then it almost becomes an ordeal to say sorry to your sweetheart. Perhaps it was not your fault but in spite of that often your partner is awaiting to hear this sacred word from you.

If it is your fault, then make up your mind that you have to say sorry forgetting all your self respect. In fact once you have said sorry, your self respect will be innate in front of your lover. Most of the times we do the stupidest acts and expect others to come and apologize. Our silly ego never let us stoop our heads, whatever the fault is. This is where we are lagging behind from them who does not hesitate to say sorry.

While being in love many a stupid things happen. We forget our anniversaries, birth dates of our partners, forget their favorite food and perfume, their favorite color, we forget to reach at time on date, we often say loads of gibberish to them and expect a runner applause. Sometimes our stupidity reaches to its height and we behave utterly nonsense in case of eulogizing as well as rectifying their deeds. But we never feel to say sorry to others because of these. We do not find any mistakes done but what actually is been done is the accidental break-ups. Loving somebody is not a hard job but continuing this relationship is a challenge. Small mistakes like these often crate an unexpected disaster and our heart breaks in no time.

While rehearsing to say sorry, one should not forget whether he or she really wants to say sorry or doing all these only in order to impress their partners. If you really feel sorry then only try these following tips:

1.Call her up and say that you are really sorry. Do this as soon as possible. When the problem is just been created, the wound is very fresh so he or she will not take much time to recover from it if you have said sorry very early.

2.If your partner is immensely angry and not picking your phone call, then send her flowers and chocolates, other gifts which might remind him or her about the nicest things you have done together. Add a note writing you are sorry.

3.If you have time and really want to do something that he or she will never forget, pick up a camera and take some snaps showing how sorry you feel without her. You can even create a video. This will surely confirm him or her, how much you miss him or her.

4.Cook his or her favorite dishes if you can. If not then take him or her to a good place and arrange a great treat. Give a sorry greeting card.

5.Finally hold her hand and say sorry. Hug her. If she hugs you back, you are out of danger and safe. Because she has finally forgotten you.

The overall reason people stay in relationships that just aren't working is because of fear of being alone. G. Finding excuses to not be together alone is becoming more evident. One of the favorite cop outs is work. Always working late becomes a popular tool because the other party can say they are too tired to get together.

H. Vacations are spent apart. Let's not forget the movie "How Stella Got Her Groove Back." Vacations apart are meant as a reason to explore new potential recruits. If your mate says they are going to a particular romantic getaway spot by themselves or with friends....boy... the signs are on the wall! It's over!
